Text Day 2

Today we learned how to do "path text" in Photoshop. It was pretty simple; here is what I did...
So I took the picture of the moon and I wrapped text around it using the pen and text tool.

Text on Photoshop

In Photoshop today, we learned how to create text and all the different things you can do with it. Here's just some of the things I did..

Barbie Projects

Over the past few days, we've been working on what we call the "Barbie Project." If you actually had a human sized Barbie, it would look very disproportional.  What we did, was we took celebrities and we changed them so that they had the proportions of a cartoon character.  The first one I did was Matt Smith (The 11th Doctor in Doctor Who) and turned him into Sullivan from Monsters Inc.  This was not my best one, but here it is.
Yeah it was a pretty crazy idea... but I think it's hilarious! The think I don't like about it though, is proportion-wise, he doesn't look that much different, besides the fact that he looks a lot bigger. I did do SOME changes to his face but I think my other ones are better.
The next one I did is Leonardo DiCaprio and Spongebob.  I also think this one is hilarious.
I think I did a lot better on this one. I erased spongebob's face and took Leonardo's face and stuck it on there. I then blended it on and made it look all good. Then I had some fun... I made his nose stick out like the cartoon character, Spongebob, and blew up his cheeks and added freckles. I also gave him buck teeth and eyelashes :) It was really fun doing this.
Then, yesterday I turned Harry Styles (One Direction band member) into Phineas from the Disney Channel show Phineas and Ferb.
I really like this one... I'm not sure why. But I think it looks pretty darn awesome.

Overall, this project was really cool!!!

Retouching 2 Part 2

I fixed it up a little more.. I'm not sure if it made a difference though haha

Retouching 2

So we did a second retouching project! For this one I have the before and after photos.
This is the before:

And this is after:
This time I did mostly the same things, but I also changed the eye color and I think it looks better! It made her look younger, because she has way clearer and lighter skin. I also made her hand look less wrinkly because it had quite a few wrinkles in it.
So yeah I think it looks really good!

Retouching

Today we started learning how to touch up photos in photoshop! This is one of the things I've been wanting to learn how to do! My mom is always wanting me to do stuff like this for her.. haha
Anyway, this girl, before I touched up the photo, had lots of freckles, and a couple blemishes, but I learned how to get rid of them, using multiple tools on photoshop. I also brightened up her eyes and a couple other things.
So this was pretty cool and I will probably use this again!

Walking Guy

I finished the first animation we've done today! That is it above^^^ I think I did pretty well considering it was the first one and I used a stick figure.  But I'm proud of it! And I've been wanting to learn how to do this!
So we used photoshop to do this, And we basically created nine frames of this guy in the different positions. Then I pretty much pressed play and it was moving! It was pretty easy! (Besides making all those frames, that took forever)

Ottiraffe

So I made a third newimal, for fun, becuase I guess I finished everthing before everyone else so I decided to make another one.
This one is an Ottiraffe- so it has the head of an otter and the body of a giraffe.  I love it :)

Newimals!

This project is called: Newimals!  What it basically is, is morphing two animals and making it look cool- but real.  The first one I did is a Sea Llama, which is basically a sea turtle and a Llama hybrid. Here it is:
Cool huh? I'm pretty proud of it.. I think I blended the animals pretty well together so it doesn't look like I just stuck a llama on the picture.
The one I did today, is a Baby Ziger- which if you didn't know is a Zebra and Lion (baby lion :)
I think it looks pretty darn awesome... I kind of want it to be real.
Anyway I think I did really well and this is a really fun project!

Banana Shine

Today, we also did a tutorial on how to make things look like they are on a shiny surface.  I used the banana for mine, and it ended up looking good! It was a pretty simple tutorial so it was pretty easy, but useful, I learned how to use a more things in Photoshop.

X-Ray

Today we finished up our X-ray project! This was a really cool one.  So we took pictures of ourselves holding up a frame and then stuck a picture of a skeleton and made it look all x-ray ish.  Then we made it look like something was stuck inside of us.
As a big Spongebob Squarepants watcher, I had to put Squidward's clarinet in there, and Sandy's submarine that they used in one of the episodes where Squidward got the clarinet stuck inside of him.  And then Spongebob used the submarine to get it out of him.  I thought this was a clever idea and it looks pretty cool too!
I think this was a very successful project, even though I had to redo things multipule times... it worked out in the end!

Colorized Tardis

This project was on learning how to "colorize" photos in photoshop.  We got to pick our own picture, so of course, I chose the famous Tardis from the show Doctor Who.  We learned how to blend layers and things like that.. it was a pretty easy project actually. So yeah, I think it looks awesome and I would do this again...

Cartoon

In this project, we had to have a background, a picture of yourself, and a cartoon. (Or two :) So I picked the beach as my background because I wanted to have a Little Mermaid sort of theme. Then I got a picture of myself somewhat in a position where I could hold a crab.  Then we took the cartoon we chose and we had to overlap body parts and such. I had Sebastian in my hand and sort of had his legs and my hand overlapping. I also tried to make the colors each picture match so that each picture had different lighting and stuff, but overall, I think it looks pretty good!

Splatfant

This next project I did was called: Splatfant... get it? We worked in photoshop once again, and used any animal we wanted and a pattern to put on top of the animal, and make it look like it's really there.  So I went with the elephant and splatter, and that's what it turned out to be. It was a pretty easy project but I think it looks pretty cool.
